The Theme and Aim of the ICCSET-2018

All engineering materials do encounter corrosive and tribological environments during their service conditions. Materials degradation is fundamentally a thermodynamic phenomenon. Different class of materials such as metals, alloys, composites, polymers, ceramics, functionally graded materials, shape memory alloys, high entropy alloys, super alloys, etc., are no exception to this phenomenon. However, the stakeholders of these materials namely scientists, engineers, academicians, researchers and entrepreneurs do have a moral and professional responsibility to find ways and means for combating this degradation. It is in this context, the CECASE at NIT Trichy, is organizing this conference. The unique feature of this Conference is the active involvement of the CECASE scholars, who are the executives drawn from various industries belonging to both Govt./Pubic/Pvt sectors of repute. Many stalwarts in various disciplines of Corrosion, Surface Engineering and Tribology will be adorning this event through their illuminating research and inspiring lectures besides many quality research papers to be presented.
